Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

These three athletes have been recognised for their outstanding achievements over the last year.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin rose to fame with a historic innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a popular morning radio program.

The champion will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December.

The ceremony will be televised from seven in the evening GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros.

She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.

Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

The Darts Prodigy

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

And he wasn't finished there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a big honour," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the run-scoring charts and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
